This afternoon I had off and did a bit of web surfing.  Mostly I was looking for new recipes to try, but I was also trying to catch up on my Google Reader feeds.  From weird to wacky and somewhere in between here is what I stumbled upon today:

• 14 Offbeat Green Cleaning & Personal Care Recipes: What I want to know is who is the first to put Milk of Magnesia on their face and figures out that it works well as an oil controler?  Check out this blog post from WebEcoist and find out the other 13 crazy tips!
• Orange is the New Black In Federal Women's Prisons:  Discovered on Google Reader with my subscription to NPR's Books feed.  Piper Kerman tells her story of life in prison after helping to smuggle drug money from Chicago to Brussels in her book and NPR.
• Pandora + Twitter = Dora.fm: A new mashup featured on ReadWriteWeb that combines Twitter and Pandora.  Allowing users to post the songs they are listening to on Pandora to Twitter.
• Layered Mexican Chicken:  A Weight Watchers recipe that sounds yummy, but has black beans as one of its ingredients.  I don't like them, but maybe I'll give them a try.
