Subaru + Dogs = Love

As many of you know we are big fans of our Subaru Outbacks.  Joel, Cammie and Keesha in Colorado in the 1999 Outback.Joel bought his in 1999 right after he graduated from college and we still have it more then 10 years and 150,000+ miles later.  It has been to Colorado and back multiple times and many other road trips.

Sleeping in our 2007 Outback, somewhere in Indiana. Don't worry no dogs were in the crate when it was on top of the car. You can even see Cammie in the back window. In 2006, we added another Outback to the family.  We have always had dogs and appreciated the versatility that the Outbacks afforded us.  I had multiple cars in the time that Joel had the 1999 Outback and we were just not happy with them, so we decided to go with what we liked.  I had one request with my Traveling through Colorado in the 2007 Outback, outfitted with our Yakima roof rack.Outback--I still wanted a standard transmission and I got it!

Because we are campers and like to save a bit of money on hotel stays when we are traveling we have figured out a way to sleep comfortably in the back of our Outback.  It is just long enough that we can stretch out with our camping sleeping mats and sleeping bags.  Our only problem is where to put out stuff when we are sleeping and working on perfecting that each time travel.  Sleeping in our Outback also helps us when we are traveling with our dogs we don't have to worry about if we can have our dogs with us or not.

What inspired this post of Subaru Love, you ask?  I was watching television on my computer as I took care of a few things and saw a new to me Subaru commercial and couldn't stop laughing.  It reminded me how appropriate Subaru's use of dogs was in their commercials.  For us one of the reasons we have had an Outback is because we have dogs.  Thanks for the smile Subaru!!
