Sewing with Mom and Sarah

Sarah invited my mom and I to join her in a quilting class. We had lots of fun. It was nice to have Mom around to ask lots of questions. It has been years since I've sewn on a machine. Most of the sewing I've done in recent history has been done by hand. I think I am hooked tho and looking forward to working on another project. I have enough fabric to make a couple more bags and have the itch to sew again. My problem right now is that I don't have my own machine, but I know people... Sarah has mom's old one and Mom has one. The quilt store that we took the class at also has open sewing nights when you can "rent" a machine for $5. So, I have options!

Thanks for returning the machine. Wendi and Kim Berkhalter (?) gave me some great tips tonight. I started and finished a bib and used a gift certificate from my mother to supply myself with some of the basics-mat, ruler, and scissors (and always some more awesome fabric). Tomorrow night I hope to tackle some more fun napkins. Too many fun projects, not enough time...........
