Four Dogs is Too Many

Last month, I volunteered to dog-sit for Greta and Walter, Joel's sister's dogs.  Greta is a German Wire-haired Pointer puppy and Walter is a middle aged Miniature Schnauzer.  In case you have forgotten I have two dogs of my own.  Oh, the adventures I had!  Walter was the only boy in the group and he made sure I knew it.  We had a discussion before he came over to the house, I reminded him if he did anything he wasn't supposed to he would spend some time in his crate... he spent a little more time in his crate then he would have liked.  Greta and Molly play together well, but even Molly couldn't keep up with the high energy Greta.  Molly and Greta frequented the water dish, but Molly seemed to be a bit territorial with it.  She didn't growl or snarl, but she made sure she was right there when Greta was getting a drink.

It wasn't long and Molly needed a break from Greta, but Greta would have none of that!  She climbed up in the chair with Molly and made sure Molly knew she was there.

If you are wondering where Cammie is when all the craziness is happening, rest assured she is hiding.  She tried to stay as far away from the action as possible.  When Walter decided he could behave himself he found a good spot to get comfy.

Joel finally joined in on the fun when he arrived home for the weekend.  I will say this, it is much easier when there is a 2 people to 4 dog ratio, 4 to 1 is just exhausting!  Also, if you want to see more photos or bigger photos you will find them on flickr.      ~br
