Where have we been?

It has been a little while, I'm sorry I haven't been keeping up on my blog posting. Life seems to be too busy and I just haven't made the time to share what's going on.

Miller Beer in the Tasting RoomJoel is finishing up his time at Miller this week. We are not sure yet where he is going to be next week, but hopefully we will know by the end of this week. While he was working at Miller, Joel and I decided it was about time we tried the Miller Brewery tour. We spent the weekend with the Tenniers with a trip to the Miller Brewery and a Brewers game.  For more photos of our adventure you can visit flickr.

Calista Dancing BeeLast week Calista, Joel's sister's daughter, danced in her spring recital. She was adorable, it was so much fun watching her and the other kids. They looked like they were having so much fun! You can check out photos of the fun on flickr.

Last week was the official beginning of wedding season for me. I have five weddings in the next month and a half then one per month after that. June will be very busy, but fun.

Mowing LawnI finally mowed our lawn for the first time ever. Since we have moved into our house in La Crosse, I had never mowed our lawn. Joel always did it, well with weather and other variables I had to tackle the task myself last week. Now, don't assume that I had never mowed a lawn. I used to mow lawn all the time. Growing-up I helped my parents mow lawn and clip, I even got paid to mow the neighbors lawn. Along with being the first time I had mowed lawn at our house, it was the first time I used bagger. I was a little worried, but it turned out that it was much easier then it looks and my hands only turned a pale shade of green! I still have yet to tackle the weed wacker, I am an experienced clipper, however, it would take forever to clip around our fence. Hopefully this weekend I will get a weed wacker tutorial or maybe I'll just try it on my own!

I am thrilled summer is finally here and look forward to cook-outs, kayaking, long walks and bike rides.
